Metro Bus Offers New Tap-To-Ride Fare Payment Option

Riding the Metro bus is now easier! Greater Portland Metro has launched a new Tap-to-Ride fare payment option, allowing riders to tap their phone, Apple Watch, or credit card when boarding the bus.
Smartcard and mobile app users should continue to use their DiriGo Pass for frequent riders benefits including fare capping and free transfers.
Tap-to-Ride is ideal for infrequent riders taking single-leg trips who are not eligible for a reduced fare. All trips are charged the full base fare for the route being boarded.
