Trek Across Maine Event in Gorham - Sunday, June 21, 2026
The 42nd annual Trek Across Maine, organized by the American Lung Association, will be making their way across Gorham on Sunday, June 21st, as well as neighboring towns and cities. Citizens are asked for their support, patience, and extra care with slowing down and sharing the road as the cyclists make their way through Gorham.
Citizens can help keep cyclists safe by following these safety tips:
- Always watch for cyclists on the road.
- Always stop and look in both directions before turning right at a red light.
- Keep at least three feet between you and a cyclist.
This cycling event will take place between June 19th through June 21st across Maine during which 800+ cyclists and vehicles (large trucks), as well as 400+ volunteers will be in Gorham and other town and city roads during daytime hours. Cyclists will keep right as much as possible. Gorham Public Safety is aware of the event.
